Business Cards and Postcard Blogger

I have learned a lot this year and I have come a long way. My creative process is not like others. I create thumbnails in Illustrator and then I tweak it until I am happy with it. If I become a graphic designer I will have to follow the traditional process and make thumbnails and document my whole process. This semester we have learned how to do little things so that next semester we can move onto bigger projects and have more fun! Overall I have enjoyed this class.

Watercolor Tutorial

For your first step create a circle with the ellipse tool.

Pick your main color to fill your circle.

You then will want to create a gradient mesh. To select "create gradient mesh" go up to the object tab and click on "Create Gradient Mesh".

Before you hit enter make sure that you have 7 rows and 7 columns.

You then will want to select the lasso tool.

Using the lasso tool select around 4-6 squares. Then pick a color that you want to use.

Repeat this step until your circle is full of different colors.

You will then need to select the wrinkle tool.

Make sure that you have all of your number match up with this picture shown above.

Before using the wrinkle tool select your circle. Then reselect the wrinkle tool and make circular motions around and in the circle.

You should then have your finished product.

What is a Creative Brief?

What is a creative brief? A creative brief is a type of document used through meetings, interviews, readings, and discussions between the client and the designer. It is used as a guide for the designer to refer to throughout the process.

There is not much to my creative process. It consists of my sitting and thinking of random words to start an idea, then start I build on the random words that pop into my head. The things that I form in my head then turn into an idea or ideas. My major take aways from this project is to be patient, being patient is key, you need to take your time on your project and to not rush the creative process and then get a result of sloppy work. Being creative is also something that I took away from this project, you need to let your creative juices flow so that you can get a great idea so that your project turns into something great and the you can be proud of.  Time management is the last take away from this project, time management is something that you need to be aware of so that you can  manage your time wisely so that you can pay attention to close detail.

What is Graphic Design?

Graphic Design is many things, creativity, imagination, colors, shapes, words, ect. Many people think of graphic design as the language of life. Graphic design is used in everybody's daily lives. Some people don't know what graphic design is, even though they see it everywhere they turn. It is has become a big part of the human culture. In graphic design you can make something look ugly but it still makes it look nice. Many people don't understand that. That is why they are not graphic designers and they leave it up to the weird creative people (like me). Overall graphic design is a way of life, a lifestyle, the world as we know it.
