This year in Exploring Graphic
Design I learned many new things. I learned how to brand my company, make a 3D
bottle revolve, patterns, fabrics, and many other things that we as a class
used in our projects that where assigned to use by Mrs. Loftquist.
I learned the things that I listed
by using Google, YouTube videos, Adobe Help, and my peers in my graphic design
class. Mrs. Loftquist showed us how to use Google to search for tutorials to
help us with our projects. Google and
YouTube are the two main things that I used to complete my projects that where
assigned to me in Exploring Graphic Design. Adobe Help is another great
resource that helped me complete and teach me the things that I needed to know
in order to complete the projects in this course.
I learned that these things are
important because when you are collaborating with a group of people you will
need to meet in the middle and do you part that you are assigned to in the
project that you are completing. I also learned how some people in a group when
you collaborate and they do not do their part so you have t o end up doing
their part plus your part. I learned that you cannot depend on people and that
you have to be ready to step in and do their part. You also have to be able to
communicate when collaborating. Communication is a big part of collaborating;
you have to communicate whenever you change something to get the others input
so that you can make the project to your best potential.
My greatest strength in this class
is my creativity and communication skills. I have learned this year that
communication really is important and to tell your partner everything that you
are doing when completing a project together. My weakness in this class are my
social skills, sometimes I might be talking to a peer about a project and miss
out on important information. Also sometimes I have a hard time listening to
instructions, sometimes my instructor can be unclear with instruction. So I
have a hard time completing with what I am told.
I am not finishing out the four-year
e-communication program because it doesn’t fit my interests anymore. I will use
my collaboration, communication, and project management skills that I have learned
in the future.
Something’s that I would have
changed in this class are note taking, I feel like if the whole class took more
notes that we would have been more successful students. I also feel that if the
class asked more questions we could have created our projects more effetely.
Overall this year has been a
struggle and I wish that I had learned more in this class. I wish that our
class and instructor got along better. I feel like if this where to happen we
would have had a better year together and we would have learned more together.
